There will be a couple of us getting together on the West fork of the Stones river on 2-21-09 at 10:30am. We will put in at Nice Mill Dam and paddle to Jefferson's Spring Rec area about 9 miles. Any body that would like to join us is more then welcome.

My sanity might be questionable but I still plan on doing this paddle. I would like to recommend that anybody that comes along bring a change of clothes in a dry bag and something hot to drink in a thermos.

The bad weather did not come in until late in the afternoon, Just as we reached the boat ramp at the take out. the morning was clear and warm. Percy Priest lake is at winter pool and we were able find several places that should be good fishing this spring. The Nice Mill Dam is a great put in. We will be paddling with a group from Ky this Saturday near Scottsville. Yakjak if you get down this way to paddle and want some company or need ideas on places to go just ask. We are talking about trying to get to Reelfoot lake for a weekend of paddling and fishing this spring.
